5. Glasgow City Centre Mural Trail
Glasgow is one of the best cities in the UK for street art. Huge murals can be found on the side of city buildings, which, put together, form the city centre mural trail. | Glasgow Life

6. Kelvingrove Park
Kelvingrove has a great wee loop in its own right, but you can take it all the way to Speirs Wharf and back along the Kelvin Walkway. | © Glasgow Life / Paul Watt Photography

7. Forth and Clyde Canal
Virtually traffic free, it doesn't get much better than cycling along the Forth and Clyde Canal. Stop and start anywhere you like along the route, you can even keep going all the way to Falkirk if you fancy. If you're feeling particularly bold you can then cycle along the Union Canal all the way to Edinburgh. | Glasgow City Heritage Trust

8. Glasgow to Paisley (National Cycle Route 75)
This is one of our favourites, with stretches along the Clyde and White Cart river, it really is gorgeous. Paisley has loads of great cycle routes that take you further afield into Renfrewshire as well. | Contributed
