The MSP for the West of Scotland got involved after a number of constituents contacted her with concerns about the current consultation process.

She has now written to Education Secretary Michael Russell asking him to ensure the process is carried out correctly.

Ms Goldie said: “After receiving enquiries from constituents, I have written to the Cabinet Secretary for Education and Lifelong Learning voicing constituent concerns.

“I have asked the Cabinet Secretary to communicate direct with the council to ensure that the process being undertaken by the council is technically robust, that there is adequate transparency and that any data included is accurate and not erroneous”.
