Gow’s great-great granny Annie Graham hits a hundred

FAMILY and friends were on hand to celebrate with a Lesmahagow woman who has reached the milestone of her 100th birthday.

Annie Graham, who lives in Bankhouse Residential Care Home in the village, celebrated her century in style with a party.

Four generations of Mrs Graham’s family were present as well as South Lanarkshire Civic Officer Neil Easton who presented her with a framed memento of the day.

Among those who were present to help Annie celebrate her birthday were son John (77), daughter-in-law Sylvia, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandson and newest member of the family, two week-old Connor, who lit up the celebrations.

Son John, who now lives in Kent, told the Gazette that it had been a tremendous day for Annie and the rest of the family.

He said: “It was a fantastic day and it was great to see all the family there.
