Hair straighteners recalled over electric shock risk

Hair straighteners are being recalled over a risk of electric shock due to easily accessible live parts.

The Fast Hair Straightener Model: HQT 906 (pictured) is a hair straightening brush which is available online on sites such as Amazon and eBay.

Anyone who owns the product, which is made in China, is being advised to stop using it immediately and remove from the mains.

In a product recall posting on its website, Electrical Safety First said: “This product is dangerous, please stop using it immediately.”

The hair straightener/brush comes supplied in a cardboard box.
