Hannah loves touring with Dreamboats and Petticoats
21-year-old Hannah Boyce only formally completed her training with the Guildford School of Acting last week but has already been touring the UK in this acclaimed musical, created by Lawrence Marks and Maurice Gran, which features numerous hits of the 1960s.
“I play Laura, who is a 15-year-old girl, which seemed a little strange at first,” admitted the former Kilsyth Academy pupil from Milton of Campsie. “But it’s an amazing show and I’ve been touring for the last couple of months. Fortunately the cast all get on well together. The point of the show is to have people dancing in the aisles. We have a pop star from the Sixties, Mark Wynter, who does a fantastic medley of songs. We’ve had some really nice reviews so far and the audience have given us great feedback. The show has been around for quite a while now and I’m not the first Laura, there’s about ten others who have played the role. But people have written in to say how much they enjoyed the show and how our cast is as good as the ones they’ve seen before, which is a great feeling for us.”
Dreamboats and Petticoats comes to the King’s Theatre in Glasgow from August 19-24. Tickets are £10-£29.50 and are available on 0844 871 7648 or www.atgtickets.com/glasgow.
