Have your say on the future of green areas urge council chiefs

Residents and businesses are being invited to comment on the draft Open Space Audit and Strategy for East Dunbartonshire which will provide a framework for current and future open space provision.

East Dunbartonshire has a wealth of open space - ranging from formal parks and playing fields to nature reserves and paths, cycleways and waterways.

The strategy strives to protect open space and make improvements to encourage greater use by residents and visitors.

The finished framework will help the planning system encourage and promote the best ways to manage and use open spaces, and identify current and future needs.

The formal consultation period will run until Friday, August 15. Copies of the strategy are available at libraries, council offices and online at www.eastdunbarton.gov.uk. E-mail comments to [email protected].
