Heading to Paisley for foodbank fundraiser

Supporters of East Renfrewshire foodbanks will be heading to Paisley next week for An Evening with Alastair McDonald.

The folk musician — an East Ren native — is playing at St Matthews Church of the Nazarene, on Gordon Street, in aid of both Renfrewshire and East Ren foodbanks.

The entertainer and broadcaster will be joined by representatives from the charitable causes, as well as councillors from both local authorities and East Renfrewshire provost Alastair Carmichael.

The fundraiser takes place on Tuesday (June 3) at 7.30pm.

Entry to the art nouveau church building is £5 — organisers recommend allowing extra time for parking.
