Heavy traffic as road collapses in Glasgow city centre

Glasgow city centre has been hit by heavy traffic this morning after the road on Hope Street collapsed.

Traffic was reduced to one lane on the busy city thoroughfare between Gordon Street and Bothwell Street after the road subsided.

Police Scotland said: “Due to a carriageway subsidence, Hope Street has been reduced to one lane between the junction of Gordon Street and Bothwell Street. Expect delays if you are travelling by this route through the city centre.”

Expect delays if you’re travelling through town.
