Help disabled children as you shop

GIFFNOCK store Whole Foods Market are hosting a 5% Day in aid of disabled charity Whizz-Kidz.

The supermarket has pledged five per cent of its takings on Wednesday to the organisation, which provides mobility equipment for disabled chidlren, as well as clubs and training to encourage them to gain more freedom.

Carol McKinlay, Scotland fundraiser for Whizz-Kidz, said: “It’s a great and easy way of helping transform the lives of disabled children. Just get your usual groceries or treat yourself to something special and five per cent of the bill will go to Whizz-Kidz.”

She added: “We greatly appreciate the support of Whole Foods and their customers.”
