Help shape future user services

East Renfrewshire council has asked its residents for ideas on how it can best serve those with disabilities.

And everyone with an interest or involvement in learning disability services in the county is invited to come along to two workshops next month and give their views.

The aim of the sessions is to find out from the people who use learning disability services at present how the council can help them in the future.

The workshops will cover what the council is doing right and what services can be improved upon.

Councillor Alan Lafferty said: “Co-working in partnership with our residents and gaining their views is invaluable and will enable us to meet their needs now and in the future.”

The workshops will take place on Monday, August 17, from 2-5pm and Thursday, August 20, from 6-9pm in Eastwood House, Giffnock.

To book a place on one of the workshops, contact Marianne Keast on 577 3730 or email [email protected].

Places are limited but anyone who can’t make it along on the evening will still be able to have a say by logging on to the council’s website.
