History looks on as Stuart Wilson prepares to become Lanark Cornet
When Lanark Lord Cornet-elect Stuart Wilson takes charge of the Burgh Standard on Monday night, he’ll have TWELVE decades of history to live up to!
That evening the choice for 2012 Lord Cornet will doubtless feel the spiritual presence of his great-grandfather who stood at the same Cross exactly 119 years ago to the night to accept precisely the same honour.
And Stuart will also be following his grandfather and father in the role.
