Hospice gets cashboost from golf day

Members of Barrhead’s Fereneze golf club raised more than £1,000 for the Accord Hospice at the annual Captain’s Day trophy challenge. Captain Alan Johnston was the host and the Texas Scramble tournament was won by members Ross Connelly, Graham McTweed, Andrew Buttar and Jim Coleman junior. Alan said: “What a brilliant day of golf we had. I am really grateful for all the support I have received from the members today and it really is a great honour to be Captain this year. I would also like to thank everyone who helped us raise over £1,000 for the Accord Hospice.”
