ICE celebrates 10th anniversary

THE cast of Lanark drama group ICE were in fine musical voice for their 10th anniversary performance, Something for the Weekend.

The production saw the cast take the audience at the New Lanark Institute down memory lane to their previous hit shows including Dracula Spectacular, Return to the Forbidden Planet and Bat Boy as well as a few new numbers.

It was compered by former ICE member Chloe Philip, who has been given her own show at this year's Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

ICE chairman and producer Kenny Douglas, who is leaving the organisation after 10 years, was also named the group's first

honorary member.

He said: "The two nights were a virtual sell-out.

"I don't like picking out certain performances because everyone had their part to play and, for me, it was a great way to finish up with ICE."
