It's the Great Wall of Milngavie

A Kirkintilloch stonemason has rescued a rotten old wall on the West Highland Way, creating a new one that will last generations.

During a site visit with Milngavie In Bloom and council officers, it was found that a 30-year-old wooden post retaining wall near Allander Road badly needed to be replaced.

Kirkintilloch stonemason George Boyd was called in to transform the rotten and crumbling wood into a whinstone faced retaining wall.
