The middle two lanes of Titwood Road have been closed in both directions, from Dumbreck Road to Herries Road, from late April and are expected to remain closed until August.

However, due to some investigative work that is required, the two outside lanes on part of this section of Titwood Road will also need to be temporarily closed with immediate effect.

This will mean a complete temporary road closure on a section of Titwood Road from its junction with Haggs Road/St Andrews Drive to its junction with Shawmoss Road.

This will be in place until the investigative work is completed and the two outside lanes can be re-opened with the road traffic management restored to the two inside lanes only. Scottish water have been unable to advise The Extra of a timetable for this work.

Local diversions will be in operation during the road closure and Scottish Water is liaising with Glasgow City Council’s roads department.

The utility has apologised for any inconvenience to affected road users and thanks them for their patience and understanding.
