Kai joins the Bluebell Walk

The dog abandoned at Ayr station and rehomed in Newton Mearns is set to be the star of this weekend’s Big Bluebell Walk.

The event, in aid of assistance dog charity Canine Partners, is on Sunday (May 10) at Rouken Glen Park.

The event is sponsored by Pets ‘n’ Vets, who look after Kai, the shar pei who made headlines this year after being abandoned with a suitcase — giving him the nickname Paddington Ayr.

Kai was adopted by Ian Russell (pictured).

A one mile circular route, the Big Bluebell Walk is wheelchair friendly, and entry is £5 (kids free) — register at Canine Partners.
