Kids’ football festival at Broadwood Stadium

The 2013 Jim Baxter Memorial FC U13s Football Festival was held at Broadwood Stadium last Saturday and Sunday.

With all teams at this age group having progressed to 11-a-side football, it was felt this would be a good test after the recent bad weather. Hosts and defending champions JBM were hoping to repeat their previous success.

William Dalziel, head coach for JBM, said: “This was a good test during the winter break for all the teams to get rid of the cobwebs that have set in due to the recent bad weather. The festival was run exceedingly well, with all teams enjoying the day at this magnificent facility.”
