Kilsyth man runs marathon in memory of fiancée

A KILSYTH man will take on the challenge of the Edinburgh marathon in memory of the fiancée he loved so dearly.

David Allsop (40) is preparing to tackle the 26 and a half mile trek on May 26 to honour Deborah Hanlon who sadly passed away last November from breast cancer at just 36 years old.

Brave Deborah, from Moodiesburn, had fought the disease three years prior but it came back, and now David wants to pay tribute to her and the nurses that cared for her by doing the Edinburgh marathon.
