Kirsten praises Barrhead’s award

Kirsten Oswald MP has welcomed news that Barrhead has been designated Scotland’s Most Improved Small or Medium Sized Town of 2015 at a prestigious awards ceremony.

Barrhead saw off a strong challenge from the border town of Kelso to gain the award at the Scottish Urban Regeneration Forum Awards in Glasgow on Thursday 10 December.

Kirsten said: “It is good to see the transformation of Barrhead is well under way, with major investment in new town centre facilities and in new housing.
