Lanark Community Minibus - loss is major blow to town

THE loss of the Lanark Community Minibus, reported in last week’s Gazette, is a bigger blow to the area’s local voluntary sector than was at first thought.

So claims Lanark voluntary worker and Tenants Forum office bearer Scott Sinclair in reaction to the news of the scrapping of the service by South Lanarkshire Council.

He said that he thinks the alternative transport services the council says are available to our smaller groups and organisations will not fill the gap left by the Community Minibus being scrapped.
