The club wowed crowds with an up-tempo routine and gave gymnasts an opportunity to perform both within Princes Square and on Buchanan Street, an exciting experience for all the gymnasts involved.

The event marked 100 days to go until the 2015 World Gymnastics Championships which are taking place in Glasgow from October 23 to November 1 at the SSE Hydro.

Just over a year on from the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, more than 500 of the world’s best gymnasts from over 80 countries will arrive in Glasgow for 10 days of top-class competition.

Beth Tweddle commented on what it means to Glasgow hosting the World Gymnastics Championships, “I love Glasgow, the people are brilliant and I always feel so at home here.

“Walking into that stadium and hearing the home crowd roar will be incredible for the British team.

“It’s a huge deal for the British guys to be competing at home. They’ll use the buzz and excitement of the home crowd.”

Emily Steele, a coach at the club said: “it was a great opportunity for everyone and the club feel privileged to have been asked to participate in such a great event.

“It was lovely seeing all the kids starstruck by the famous names who they aspire to be like. We look forward to seeing all the action in our home country later on this year!”
