The run was organised by gym owner Barry Curtis and member Christine Craig at Curtis Bros fitness in St Leonard Street, Lanark, with gym members all turning up in fancy dress to run a 5k from the gym right round Lanark Loch on Saturday November 28.

It was a brilliant effort from everyone as it was an 11am start on a cold wet Saturday morning. Gina McKie from Radio Clyde was there to set the runners off from the gym.

A representative from the Beatson also spoke to the group, about the new Beatson Centre opening in North Lanarkshire, which will be a great help to everyone.

The gym passes on big thanks to everyone who helped organise the event and all those, especially Lanark High Street businesses, who donated or gave in raffle prizes.
