Lanarkshire Business Week gets underway today

Lanarkshire Business week begins today, and local companies are being urged to get involved and tap into the support on offer.

Running from Monday February 29 until Friday March 4, the event has rapidly become one of the highlights of the local business calendar.

Now in its fifth year, the week promises something for everyone from start-ups and fledgling business to long established names.

Working in partnership with private sector partners, both South and North Lanarkshire Councils have planned an exciting programme of free events, workshops and networking opportunities across the week.

This includes a series of workshops hosted by the Supplier Development Programme including:

Completing a PQQ (Pre-Qualification Questionnaire)

Chair of South Lanarkshire Council’s Enterprise Services Committee, Councillor Chris Thompson, said: “Lanarkshire Business Week brings together the expertise both of councils and private sector partners to support and advise businesses at all stages.

“For those just starting out, the week can really help to raise awareness of the help available, whilst established businesses will benefit from the opportunity of widening contacts and keeping up to date with legislative and practical changes.”
