Lanimer Crowning Ceremony 2013 video
ST Mary’s Primary School pupil Erin Snow was crowned Lanimer Queen at a sunkissed Lanark Cross on Thursday.
The youngster (11), who was crowned by Mary Thirlwell, smiled broadly as she was led up the famous steps to the Lanimer stage in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd.
There were loud cheers and hearty encouragement from Erin’s schoolmates as the 2013 Queen was crowned.
And there then followed almost 20 minutes of pomp and pageantry as the good people of Lanark savoured a truly grand occasion which came after the traditional parade of tableau through the town.
