The day was blessed with warm sunshine and the streets were packed with Lanarkians and visitors alike as the procession, filled with Japanese samurais, minions, golfers and even zombies, set off.

The Gazette was on hand to capture every minute of the action, as you can see from the slideshow of pictures – created by editor Julie Currie – taken by freelance photographer Roberto Cavieres.

This week’s Gazette is also packed with Lanimer Week news and pictures. And be sure to check out the other slideshows on our website of events in the Royal Burgh’s busiest week of the year.
