Last in season for Music in Lanark

Music in Lanark will welcome The Ferio Saxophone Quartet, touring Scotland as their Tunnel Trust Award prize, on Friday March 18 at the New Lanark Institute.

Local music lovers can catch a programme that includes the music of Bach, Haydn, Piazzolla and Glazunov.

The concert will start with a cameo performance by Ethan Loch who will launch The Piano. Last May Ethan kicked off the New Piano Appeal.

Now, thanks to the generosity of the Border Biscuits the Western Recreation Trust and the many supporters, Music in Lanark have reached the target and take delivery of The Piano - a Kawai GX7. Ethan will play pieces by Rachmaninov, Liszt and Debussy and there will be contributions by Annie Davenhill and Ayla Mascarenhas, pupils at Lanark Grammar School.
