Mandy said: “The layout of the house is very clever. The person who originally built it had seven children and often, if we were entertaining and the kids had their own friends round, the two groups could just do their own thing because the way the place is split between the children’s bedrooms in one part and the rest of the house.

“The garden is big, in a wraparound style and is very seculed with great views of the hills too,’’ added Mandy who loves having her morning coffee outside in this peaceful spot.

With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, space is at a premium and that includes storage space as a utility room is included. That extends to parking too as six cars can be accomodated in the driveway.

Overlooking the rear garden is a very attractive kitchen with a breakfast bar but for something more formal the dining room is another of this home’s selling points.

If you like open plan, this fits the bill and as longtime resident of South Africa, Mandy has felt very much at home here. “It is very like the housing over there and I think that’s one of the reasons I like it so much,’’ she said.
