The new landmark contains a marble seat and will join a long list of tributes paid to Councillor Kennedy - including a boat, a school library and a stained glass window.

A community council spokesperson told the Herald that all were welcome to join the ceremony, expected to be attended by Councillor Kennedy’s family, friends and colleagues.
