Clydesdale West Labour Councillor Lynsey Hamilton condemned Stuarts Coaches’ decision to abolish the number 10 run from this Monday, just 15 months after taking it over from the now defunct Irvine’s Coaches.

“This is a massive blow to the village,” Lynsey said.

“It is devastating news for the people who use this service to get to Wishaw. I know that a lot of villagers are up in arms.

“They need the number 10 to get to Wishaw General Hospital or do their shopping.”

Long-time Law resident Annie Dale is one of those who is furious.

Annie (73), of Brownlee Road, said: “I used the number 10 bus at least twice a week to go into Wishaw for my shopping.

“It is ridiculous that this service has been stopped. I am extremely upset.

“Stuarts Coaches is cutting Law off. It doesn’t give two hoots about us.”
