Leisure services need your input

Help us to shape the future of these services is the opportunity on offer to local residents and groups from both the Council and the Leisure and Culture Trust.

When it is finalised, the Culture, Leisure and Sport Strategy 2016-2021 will guide the future provision of services and activities in East Dunbartonshire.

The aim is to ensure they continue to make a positive and improving contribution towards good health, well-being, learning and social inclusion locally.

The draft strategy has just been published and is available to view in council libraries and online at www.eastdunbarton.gov.uk/draftCLSS.

You can have your say via an online survey and also at drop-in sessions being held in Kirkintilloch and Bearsden on the following dates: Allander Leisure Centre, Bearsden, from 3 to 8pm, Tuesday, October 13, and William Patrick Library, Kirkintilloch, from 3 to 8pm on Thursday, October 22.

The strategy will also inform tourism and economic development activities - bringing further benefits to the community.

Councillor Alan Moir, Convener of Development and Regeneration, said, I hope as many people as possible seize the opportunity to help shape services in East Dunbartonshire.

Consultation begins on September 28 and is due to end on November 9.
