Library up for renewal

GIFFNOCK library will be shut for six months as part of a £450,000 redesign.

Doors close on August 3, with arrangements at East Renfrewshire council HQ (open Monday to Friday, plus a Saturday service at Eastwood Park Theatre) in place by August 5. There will also be a twice-weekly bus service between Giffnock and Clarkston, home lending, and a drop-box return at Whole Foods Market.

Improvements to the library include enhanced IT facilities, children’s area, new heritage centre and redesigned frontage.
