Looking for love...should have gone to Specsavers

IT was literally love at first sight for a Cumbernauld couple who got engaged in the middle of a busy shopping centre.

Greig King (44) got down one knee and proposed to girlfriend Natalie Wilson (33) in front of shoppers, and family and friends tonight (Tuesday).

The setting was perfect for the Carbrain couple as they both first realised their feelings for each other when Natalie served Greig in Specsavers in Cumbernauld Shopping Centre where she works as a shop assistant.

They have known each other for a couple of years, but brave Greig plucked up the courage to ask Natalie out on a date last month, and now they are looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together.

The proposal, however, did not run as smoothly as Greig perhaps had hoped as a stunned Natalie walked away in the opposite direction to compose herself and Greig ironically lost his contact lense during the proposal.

A surprised Natalie said: “I was mortified, I just thought I was going for a drink after work.

“He is an amazing guy and he has turned my life around.”
