Lorraine Dorricott wins Employee of the Year Award

In front of a packed audience at the Hilton in Glasgow, Lorraine (51) received her award from comedian and impersonator Rory Bremner and couldn’t wait to tell her family and Scotmid colleagues about her success.

She said: “At the awards night, it was just myself and my partner Thomas who were there but I had to text all of them when my category came up.

“I was just pleased to be nominated but when my name was read out I couldn’t believe it; as you could imagine, it was quite a shock to actually win it!

“Once I rang everyone, the girls put it up on Facebook and since then everyone has been congratulating me.”
