Lorry fears for Carluke farm opencast plan

CLYDESDALE West Councillor Pat Lee has spoken out against a proposed development at Hyndshaw Farm in Carluke.

Councillor Lee is unhappy at the prospect of lorries passing through Carluke and Law if the planning application, which would see the derelict farm turned into houses, is given the green light.

He has also hit out at the proposed opencast operation which would see 36,000 tonnes of coal extracted from the site.

Councillor Lee is unhappy with the proposal for a number of reasons.
