At the World Luxury Hotel Awards, it honoured argos in Cappadocia as the luxury hotel with Europe’s ‘best scenic environment’.
argos in Cappadocia was selected by hotel guests for its scenic location in the ancient and mystique town of Uçhisar, one of the highest settlements of unique Cappadocia region, that overlooks the Pigeon Valley and Mount Erciyes beyond.
Regarded as the highest accolade that a property can receive within the global luxury hotel industry, World Luxury Awards, also honoured argos in Cappadocia with ‘luxury boutique hotel in Turkey’ award last year and in 2012, and ‘luxury romantic hotel in Turkey’ in 2013.
The ethos of the hotel captures the wealth of the town’s history, and the traditions of civilisations gone by. Today the hotel complex has been designed and created around the old houses, caves and tunnels that were in place for hundreds of years. An ancient monastery has also been saved to house a fine dining room, and wine cellars have been restored for tasting some of the best examples of the regions’ wines kept underground.
This aspect has also had the Wine Spectator’s seal of approval, with their Awards of Excellence.
