The egg-straordinary request for help is part of an annual fundraising event organised by the Maggie’s Lanarkshire knitting group.

The group has knitted an amazing 4000 Easter chicks to sell to family and friends, and through their church and at the Centre, with all funds raised to be donated to Maggie’s.

Each chick will be sold with a creme egg inside it, making them a real Easter treat and Maggie’s Lanarkshire needs you to donate chocolate eggs to help make the plan a success!

The knitting group get together to raise funds for Maggie’s every year. The annual event is organised by Norma Loudon from Wishaw, who also runs a weekly information stall at Wishaw General Hospital.

Ruth Zokas, Fundraising Organiser at Maggie’s Lanarkshire, said: “The knitting group has made a wonderful job of creating 4000 adorable, woolly chicks for Easter.

“Now we need your help to make the chicks even sweeter and to make the group’s fundraising event an eggstraordinary, choctastic success! So, if you are able to donate a creme egg or two, please drop them into the Centre.”
