Man arrested after two-car crash at Lenzie

A man has been arrested after two cars were in collision at Lenzie during rush-hour yesterday evening (Wednesday).

The 56-year-old driver of one of the vehicles faces charges of allegedly being under the influence of a substance, driving with no licence and no insurance.

A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.

Police said no one was injured in the accident which happened on Initiative Road at Lenzie. The road was closed for two hours while investigations were completed and motorists were urged to avoid the area.
