Man in court over Karen’s murder

A man has appeared in court charged with murdering student Karen Buckley.

Karen’s body was found at High Craigton Farm, on the outskirts of MIlngavie, on Thursday.

Alexander Pacteau (21) made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody following the private hearing at Glasgow Sheriff Court today (Friday, April 17).

He is also accused of attempting to defeat the ends of justice.

Karen (24) had gone missing following a night out in Glasgow’s west end on Saturday.

Alexander Pacteau, from Glasgow, will appear in court again next week for a full committal hearing.
