MBE for Douglas volunteer Robert Wilson

More than a quarter of a century of voluntary work by Robert Wilson has been recognised in the New Year Honours List.

Robert (77), of Douglas, has received an MBE for his services to the local cottage hospital.

Of his award, he said: “It was a pleasant surprise. It came quite out of the blue.”
