Missing Bishopbriggs man dies in hospital

Police found Henry Paterson (83), who had early stage dementia, in woods near Cadder Golf Club yesterday.

He had been reported missing since Monday, when police launched a major search.

He was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary by ambulance but died in hospital last night.

Police Inspector Duncan Evans said: “Our thoughts, the thoughts of those in the local community and all those who shared our appeals for information, will no doubt be with the family of Mr Patterson this evening.”
