Scottish Water has closed 400 metres of the road to enable them to do essential relining of water mains.

A Scottish Water spokesman said: “The road traffic management was arranged in liaison with East Dunbartonshire

Council’s roads department.

“Scottish Water apologises for any disruption caused by the work, which is needed to improve services for thousands of customers in the local area.”

The work is expected to be finished by this weekend.
