In the Fatal Accident Inquiry which followed the death of the 17-year-old Cleghorn lass on March 31, 2010, it was judged that she MIGHT have survived the crash at Wiston had she been wearing her seatbelt.

Medical evidence showed that Natasha did not die from impact injuries when the coach tumbled off a bridge and into a burn near Wiston but drowned when trapped underwater after the crash.
