As well as the fun boats, families can enjoy a full day out the park, which is owned by North Lanarkshire Council.

The park includes an outdoor adventure playground, visitor centre and cafe, picnic sites, a peace garden and nursery complex within 500 acres of moorland, woodlands, grasslands and two natural lochs.

Councillor Helen McKenna, convener of the environmental services committee, said: “Drumpellier is a beautiful location for families to enjoy a day out during the summer holidays, with something for all ages.

“Our fun boats are great fun and good value for money, and the network of paths allows families to explore the local wildlife, including swans and other birds, animals, tress, wildflowers and fungi.

Bumper boats, pedalos and canoes are all £1.80 for children and £3.60 for adults, with a family ticket for the pedalos at £6.70.

The waterwalkerz are £3.30 for children and £5.60 for adults.
