New parish priest is made welcome at St Bernadette's

Father William Damah has been appointed as the new parish priest for St Bernadette's Church.

At the recent Church Workers’ Social he was welcomed by Geraldine Fleming on behalf of all the parishioners.

Father Damah, a Holy Ghost Father of the British Province, is originally from Ghana and came to the UK in 2004 to the Provincial House in Norwood, London.

While there he was responsible for Mission Appeal in the UK and worked as a supply priest in local parishes.

He then moved to St Peter’s Parish, New Barnet, London and later to Sacred Heart Parish, Camberwell. Latterly, he was appointed parish priest of St Chad’s, South Norwood, London, a position he held for 10 years.

Father Damah said: “I am delighted to be in St. Bernadette’s and look forward to working closely with my new parishioners.”
