Nominate a young hero for prestigious national award

The countdown is on for people in East Dunbartonshire to nominate inspirational local young heroes who have made a difference to the lives of others.

For the past nine years the Young Scot Awards have recognised the amazing achievements of some of Scotland’s truly remarkable young people. The 2015 awards mark the tenth annual Young Scot Awards with categories including Community, Cultural Diversity, Enterprise, Unsung Hero, Volunteering, Sport, Entertainment and the Arts.

Louise Macdonald, chief executive of Young Scot, said: “2015 will see a milestone tenth year for our widely celebrated Young Scot Awards. The awards shine a light on the positive contributions young people make every day and provide a fantastic opportunity to see their efforts and dedication celebrated.

“Over the last decade we have had 129 winners, 352 finalists, plus thousands of nominations. For the tenth year, Young Scot want to make this the biggest celebration of young people this country has ever seen which is why we’re challenging everyone in East Dunbartonshire to nominate 10 young people each for an award.”

Nominations can be submitted via youngscotawards.com until midnight February 27. Winners will be announced on April 30.
