The nursery’s children each planted their own daffodil back in October and took care of it through to February before taking it home. Following the donations from parents for the occasion - Marie Curie Pots of care day - the nursery managed to raise £300 for the Marie Curie charity.
The charitable children also hosted a Daffodil Tea for some of their grandparents, buttering scones and serving coffee to guests; they even spent the day decorating cakes and made paper daffodils, making it a fun time for all involved.
This is not the first time the children of Little Treasures Nursery have gone out of their way to help others, continuing with the intention of being aware of kindness to others and making people happy. The nursery and the children previously collected food packages to help the Salavation Army, amongst others.
