Park’s festive event was a Christmas cracker

Hundreds of people joined VIPs - including a certain Mr S. Claus - at a special festive event in East Dunbartonshire recently.

A Christmas fair was held at Mugdock Country Park - with a host of family-friendly attractions, including festive gift ideas, children’s rides, archery lessons, Santa’s Grotto, arts and crafts, entertainment, refreshments and market stalls.

As well as a visit from Santa, Mugdock also welcomed Councillor Eric Gotts, chairman of Mugdock Country Park Joint Management Committee, who switched on the Christmas lights.

He said: “It was a terrific event and many families - from all over East Dunbartonshire and beyond - turned out in large numbers despite the poor weather.

“Mugdock has been hosting a number of promotions and events in the weekends counting down to Christmas - showcasing the wonderful range of shops and services available, as well as the many attractions of the park itself. I would encourage everyone to visit Mugdock Country Park - before and after Christmas.”
