Campsie Mayfest goes virtual

To overcome the Covid-19 lockdown, a Virtual Campsie
Mayfest of Music and Art will be held up to the end of May on Campsie Fest Facebook and Twitter pages.

This ambitious wee local festival includes a virtual Campsie Countryside Walk, art exhibition, children’s art workshop with professional artist Derek Gray, concerts of Jazz, Classical, previous footage of Campsie Ceilidh Band and Campsie Scottish Folk Players, and a Young Performers’ Concert.

A video of Campsie countryside walks is available, plus great scenes from previous Mayfests. Each day, images will encourage people to visit areas of the village. A ‘capture this’ challenge will be hosted, with people encouraged to send their own photos to [email protected]
