Carluke charity champion Gill Murray MBE has raised a further £10,600 for Cancer Research UK.

At the beginning of November, Gill has always held a charity coffee day, but as Covid restrictions have stopped all social gatherings, she decided to move things online to have a virtual charity day instead.

Each day for three weeks different handmade items were advertised for sale, including face masks, wooden reindeer and snowmen, scarves, knitting and cake boxes (200 of these were sold at £10 a time).

This, added together with baking and face masks she sold during the first lockdown, collectively raised £10,600.

Gill would like to thank everyone who helped to make this event such a huge success.
