Cosgrove looks to provide even more support in local communities in 2021

Following on from an unprecedented year of community support amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, Cosgrove now looks to further provide assistance in local communities in 2021.

Cosgrove’s team of dedicated volunteers have provided over 2,500 unique supports over the past year, from delivering shopping, prescriptions and food parcels, to telephone befriending and delivering emergency food parcels.

Cosgrove has recognized a need within the community to provide support to those who would otherwise have no other means of assistance, and so will now continue to develop this volunteer service in 2021.

Chief Executive Heather Gray said: “2020 was a difficult year for us all but what stood out was the remarkable response by those in our local communities, where we received a fantastic level of support from volunteers to help those in our local communities in need of assistance.

“What became clear is that not only is this support still required in 2021, but also that there is an ongoing need for community support to help ensure that no one is left feeling without a lifeline, and this is something that will continue to be the case as we move out of the pandemic.”
